MEng

This Master programme requires the completion of a full dissertation-based research project. The programme can be completed within eighteen months on a full-time basis or within three years on a part-time basis. The research projects may be undertaken in industry-specified projects or projects in defined niche areas (Telecommunications, Enabled Environment, Power at TUT and in Satellite Systems at CPUT).

International MSc Programme

This MSc trains in South Africa professionals in Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering.

The programme leads to the conferring by the ESIEE Paris institution, in collaboration with ESIEE Amiens, of a French, internationally recognized, MSc, with accreditation from the French Conférence des Grandes Écoles (CGE).

The completion of the MSc courses and the realisation of a full research/development project are required to graduate for the MSc with an equivalent of 120 ECTS (European Credit Transfer System). 60 ECTS for the courses and 30 ECTS credits for the project.

Doctorate programmes

The Doctorate programmes requires the completion of a full thesis which may be completed in three years on a full-time basis or five years on a part-time.

International Doctorate Programmes (Co-tutelle)

A Co-tutelle Doctorate Programme may be done in which a DEng candidate has the opportunity to work with experts from both TUT/CPUT and a French university. The current partner French Institutions includes the Université Paris-EST Créteil (UPEC) and Université Versailles Saint-Quentin-en Yvelines (UVSQ), both in Paris, France. At the end of his thesis the student will obtain the South African DEng and the French PhD.
